Brisal, S.A. is responsible for the management of the Road Technical Channel (RTC), an infrastructure integrated into the network of highways concessioned by the State. The
RTC serves as a hosting facility for electronic communications networks and is currently under Stakeholder Hearing / Public Consultation, in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code and the Reference Offer for access to and use of Brisal's
RTC.
Reference Offer for the Road Technical Channel
In accordance with Decree-Law No. 123/2009 of 21 May, the procedures for accessing the CTR are set out in the “Reference Offer for Access to Brisal’s Road Technical Channel Infrastructure and Services” (OBCR – CTR). Telecommunications operators’ acceptance of this offer is subject to the signing of a Service Provision Contract for “Access to Road Technical Corridor Infrastructure and Services”, in accordance with the documentation available on this page.
The installation of telecommunications cables and equipment by operators is only possible after the conclusion of the OBCR – CTR contract, which sets out the conditions for access to and use of the infrastructure managed by Brisal. Access is also regulated for the purposes of repair, maintenance or removal of cables and equipment.
